Summer-time .....
This week we are going to do the final section on our Adventure 100 challenges - ICE COOL, I hope the rain will have gone by then and we will hold our
'COOL BUFFET' in the Brownie hut. The Brownies are bringing COOL FOOD, we'll have COOL DRINKS and COOL GAMES. We will also be doing an enrollment and saying
a COOL GOODBYE to our leavers.
The pennies are in and have been counted. We have £24.52 so far. What charity shall we support with them?

We are enjoying a fabulous year in Guiding with still more Centenary Celebrations to come.
Trisha and some of the Senior Section enjoyed a great w/e with Dursley Distict sharing their Party 100. She's also looking forward to helping
in the Souvenir shop at FUSION in Leeds on 4th August.
The most recent Forest North Division event was here in the Forest of Dean, when Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Seniors and thei leaders 'Took
Over' the Forest of Dean Steam Railway. A big "Thank You" to Helen M, Jane H and Linda
for all your hard work. Thanks also to Trefoil helpers Margaret and Doris. It was a very hot day and we were very grateful for the gazebos for
shade and the ice cold juice on our return from the Steam Train ride.

We also held a 1950s evening, the girls dressed up in style, we played and danced to '50s music, did a '50s picture quiz and ate
hotdogs and milkshakes.
Last week we started making the pages for our Wacky 100, Jokes book and each girl performed one of her jokes to the rest of the group.
That was fun girls, wasn't it? Sorry parents, we ran quite a bit late. We had over 100 jokes with 86 different ones which will be made into two books. Well Done girls!
Still to come - a general look at the decades past in Mitcheldean Brownies, Games outside when
weather permits, a talent show and lots more.
We'll also need to add to those centenary scrap books this term and open the Time Capsule left for us by the Brownies in 2000.
Thank you to Forest North Guide Shop for our lovely centenary badge and Castiard District for our keyrings. And a big thank you to Jane and the team for our fab Launch Party
Here are some snippets from our visitor book:
"I remember a Halloween party at St. Michael's Hall on the Stenders - now demolished and a bungalow in its place. I also remember my mum making a toadstool for the pack as our old one was falling apart."
"Being a Brownie is great fun, we get to go on Brownie holidays and to PGL. We play great games and make new friends"
